Driving through the breathtaking Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park near Coober Pedy was an experience that left me speechless. This ancient landscape, with its dramatic mesa formations rising from the desert floor, painted in layers of ochre, cream, and rust, is one of South Australia's most spectacular natural wonders. The golden light dancing across the spinifex grass, creating a shimmering carpet of green and gold against the weathered breakaway formations, was absolutely mesmerizing.
